Today’s K-9 police officers are put in mortal danger when doing their jobs.  Loyal, intelligent and highly trained, these remarkable animals give 100% of themselves, 100% of the time, unconditionally.  Human law enforcement officers wear Kevlar vests to protect them from gunfire and knife attacks. However, their K-9 partners in Spotsylvania and Caroline Counties and in the City of Fredericksburg currently do not have the same protection and could easily be killed in the line of duty.

This is where PAL and our wonderful supporters come into the picture.  Law enforcement has asked for help with fundraising efforts, and we jumped at the opportunity to give back to those who serve and protect us every day!  PAL would like to purchase a total of 7 Kevlar vests for the K-9 Officers and donate them to the requesting law enforcement organizations.  We're asking you to consider making a contribution towards our efforts and to spread the word.  Three wonderful things will come from your generosity:

2) The tax deduction you’ll receive for your donation, and 

3) Most importantly, the life you’ll be saving!

Each Kevlar vest costs $750.  We also want to raise an additional $750 so law enforcement can purchase the necessary attachments. This means PAL has to raise a total of $6,000 to fully protect the 7 K-9 Officers.  PAL will be holding several great fundraising events in the next few months.
