We know you've always wanted a dog, cat, bunny, or other awesome animal. And now's the time friends! We are here to help you get ready for your new family member when you're ready to make that commitment. Becoming a Pet Parent is, after all, one of the most gratifying experiences in life!

It can be difficult knowing what to do when you're about to adopt. But, we make this process even easier when you adopt with us, because our dedicated volunteers will address questions and concerns you and your might have on introducing your new PAL pet to your home and family.

We work hard to make sure that we take care of all of our pets here at Pet Assistance League of Virginia. But, unfortunately we can't do it without people like you and your donations of time and money. So, if you ever feel like you want to be a part of our family and help some of the best animals around, check us out.

Please help us help sasha!

This beautiful girl came from Caroline County Animal Shelter with a host of medical problems that PAL was unaware of but is going to see and love her through.  Unfortunately, the cost of Sasha’s veterinary expenses has put quite a strain on PAL’s finances.  Your tax deductible contribution towards Sasha’s medical care and rehabilitation is much appreciated! There are several secure ways to help!

Here is a summary of just her major issues:

  • Malignant mammary tumor that has been removed
  • Several malignant uterine tumors removed during spay
  • Severely undernourished
  • Suffered an unknown trauma to her back earlier in life that cannot be treated.  She is unsteady on her feet and easily toppled over.
  • She has several severe hematomas near her surgical sites that she's currently being treated for.
